Malvern Remembers is a non profit-making web venture that aims to commemorate the men of Malvern who were killed or died as a result of service in the both World Wars (1914 – 1919 and 1939 – 1945). The online memorial can be searched by name, by parish or by regiment or unit and will eventually contain a personal page for each man.
As well as the Memorial, the site will also include a history of Malvern in the first two decades of the 20th Century and an overview of the War as it affected Malvern, and hundreds of towns like it.
The site is not just intended to be a static memorial, but to evolve as more comes to light on individuals and episodes in the life of Malvern during these difficult times. You too can help with this process; the site’s editor, Paul Roberts is keen to hear anything from anyone concerning men from Malvern or the surrounding area who served in the Great War (not necessarily just casualties) or the town in general during that time. Please see the contact page for more information…
Please take some time to browse the memorial, and related pages. Only by learning the lessons of the past, can we confidently face the future.
