Nature of Death: Died of wounds at Gallipoli 6/8/1915

William Jones, who was born in Malvern was killed on during the Battle of Krithia [1] in August 1915. He enlisted into the Worcestershire Regiment during the time of the Boer War [2] at Worcester, and if he signed on for the regular army terms of engagement he will have served for 7 years with the Colours and 7 years with the Reserve. On the outbreak of war these reservists were remobilised. At the time of his death he was living in Lambeth, London.
