William Jones, who was born in Malvern was killed on during the Battle of Krithia in August 1915. He enlisted into the Worcestershire Regiment during the time of the Boer War at Worcester, and if he signed on for the regular army terms of engagement he will have served for 7 years with the Colours and 7 years with the Reserve. On the outbreak of war these reservists were remobilised. At the time of his death he was living in Lambeth, London.
