Previous Employment: Nurseryman at James Lewis and Son, Newtown Road Nurseries
William Coyle lived with his wife, a qualified midwife and surgical nurse at Viveham Blackmore Road and was employed as a nurseryman at James Lewis and Son Nurseries, Newtown Road before joining the Royal Engineers [1]. He was stationed in Ireland when he died of illness in November 1914. As he did not serve overseas the Commonwealth War Graves Commission does not commemorate him.
