William Coyle lived with his wife, a qualified midwife and surgical nurse at Viveham Blackmore Road and was employed as a nurseryman at James Lewis and Son Nurseries, Newtown Road before joining the Royal Engineers. He was stationed in Ireland when he died of illness in November 1914. As he did not serve overseas the Commonwealth War Graves Commission does not commemorate him.
