Malcom House was the son of a Master at Malvern College [1], he was educated at Rugby School and was elected Scholar of Corpus Christi College, Oxford in 1915. He was a prolific sportsman; at Oxford he played in the Rugby 1st XV and the Cricket Team (he captained the latter in 1915); he also played in the football team during 1915.
