The details shown above are for a soldier who was born at Stoke Prior, Worcs and enlisted and lived at Stoke Works near Droitwich. He is the closest of the three Henry Strides who were killed during the Great War to Newland, and may have attended the Choir School, as did other Old Boys who lost their lives. As with this possible match, their homes were many miles away.
