Henry Jones was born in West Malvern, and was for some time a postman. He enlisted into the South Wales Borderers at Tredegar, Monmouthshire, and must have served for some time before, in April 1918 it was reported that he had received gunshot wounds to the chest. Later in July, either as a result of these wounds or through another incident, he died.
