Roland Eales was born in Christchurch, Glos. He joined the Worcestershire Regiment and Worcester and served with the 4th Battalion. He and his step brother, Arthur Evans enlisted in the same month and both served with the 4th Battalion. Arthur was reported missing in October 1916, Roland was unfortunately killed in March 1918.
