About the Editor

The research and planning for this website has been undertaken by Paul Roberts. He was born in Worcester in 1978 and has lived all his life in Malvern. In 1993, building on an early interest in history, he started researching the memorials of Malvern. After nine years of intermittent research, made more sporadic by a succession of exams (culminating in an Joint Honours Degree in History and Geography from the University of Leeds), To Those Who Nobly Served is now ready for publication.

Paul Roberts continues to work on the Roll of Honour and is also interested in Malvern's local territorial battalion - the 8th Battalion, The Worcestershire Regiment. After the addition of Second World War casualties from malvern to the site, Paul hopes to collaborate with Struan Robertson to produce a fully searchable web based memorial to the war dead Worcestershire.
